Peloton is a French word for riding together in a group and is a cycling term. The group is able to share the pace setting at the head of the race. They shield their team leaders from the wind, allowing them to save thirty percent of their energy. When the time comes to chase down the breakaway, the peloton can turn up the pace and close down the gap, setting up their leader to sprint for the finish or accelerate up the mountain.
There is great strength in unity. Consider the people you hang out with. Chances are they are not just like you. Your strengths cover their weaknesses and their strengths cover your weaknesses. You probrably have some similar interests, but your group is not entirely homogeneous.
God created each of us unique. We are all special to God. Despite our differences, we are still able to relate to each other as fellow creations of God. Each has been given at least one gift from God to use in building up others, which brings God the ultimate glory.
Read 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 and ask yourself:
Where do I fit into my group?
How do I build up others?
How has God gifted me?
